‘Patina’, refers to the change in the physical properties of old objects and is a phenomenon that does not occur in ceramics. The patina collection was created from the desire to express an entirely different texture than the usual in ceramics. The idea came from the brilliant minds of director Jang Woo-rim and Seungmin Ji. Jang Woo-rim majored in metal crafts and possesses an extensive understanding of metals, gemstones, and minerals while ceramic artist Seungmin Ji completed this collection. The Patina Collection is a highly unique series that focuses on texture and features a delicately expressed surface. You can feel the mysterious beauty of each piece according to the movement of light and the food it contains. Each piece is a surprising delight to the eye with its irregular surface and somewhat unfamiliar-looking texture. ‘Stone Beige’ features a texture that looks like it has been carved out of a huge natural stone. It retains the color of the ground soil, so the natural layered tones stand out depending on the thickness of the glaze. 'Copper Brown' reflects the shiny, oxidized surface of metal and the soft, warm touch of ceramics. It possesses a delicate and beautiful sparkle according to the flow of light.
