Returns & Exchanges
We accept returns and exchanges within 7 calendar days of purchase with proof of purchase.
Items must be unused, in original condition, and returned with all original packaging, inserts, and components. Sets must be returned complete. Items showing signs of use, including washing, wear, or removal of protective elements, cannot be accepted.
Refunds are issued to the original form of payment or as store credit, at the customer’s preference. If the original form of payment is unavailable, store credit will be provided.
Damaged or defective items must be reported in-store. All items are considered inspected at the time of purchase and are sold as is. Change-of-mind exchanges are permitted only once per order following the initial purchase.
Customers returning a received gift may exchange an item or receive store credit (gift card) within 14 calendar days of the original purchase date. A gift receipt or proof of purchase is required.
Online purchases may be returned or exchanged in-store within 7 calendar days of delivery with proof of purchase. We are unable to process returns or exchanges without proof of purchase.
Online Purchases
Returns
We accept returns of unused merchandise in original packaging within 7 calendar days of delivery. All returns require prior authorization. Once approved, items must be shipped back within 7 calendar days of receiving authorization.
Items sent without approval will not be accepted and may be returned to the sender at the customer’s expense.
To be eligible, returned merchandise must be unused, undamaged, and in its original condition, including all original packaging and inserts. Items must be shipped inside a protective outer box. Product packaging should not be used as the shipping box, as this may result in damage and a corresponding deduction. ARJ is not responsible for damage caused by insufficient return packaging. Any additional charges incurred due to improper carton size or weight are the responsibility of the customer.
We reserve the right to apply a damage deduction if the returned product’s condition has changed to the extent that it cannot be resold at full value. Any such deduction will be applied to the total refund amount. All returned items are inspected upon receipt to determine whether a deduction is necessary.
We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet our policy requirements.
How to Initiate a Return
Please contact us at help@arj.la within 7 calendar days of receiving your order. Items sent without authorization will not be accepted and may be returned to the sender at the customer’s expense.
Once the return request is approved, we will provide a return authorization and a prepaid return shipping label. The item must be shipped back within 7 calendar days of receiving authorization.
Once the return is received, inspected, and accepted, a refund will be issued to the original form of payment. Please allow up to 5 business days for processing.
Exchanges
We are unable to process direct exchanges for online orders. Customers may return the original item and place a new order. For assistance, please contact help@arj.la.
Damaged Items
Damages must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Please do not discard the damaged item or any packaging until your damage claim has been reviewed and approved.
Please email help@arj.la within 24 hours with the following (all required):
- Clear photos of the item, with the damage clearly visible
- Photos of all exterior sides of the shipping box and the shipping label
- Photos of the interior packaging as received
- A brief description of the damage or defect
Approved damage or defect claims will be refunded to the original form of payment or exchanged at no cost. Claims submitted after the 24-hour window, or without the required documentation, cannot be accepted. ARJ is not responsible for refunds, replacements, or credits for damage or defect claims submitted without proper documentation.
Shipping & Fees
Original shipping charges are non-refundable. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
For orders that qualified for complimentary shipping, the actual outbound shipping cost incurred by ARJ may be deducted from the refund if the final kept merchandise value no longer meets the complimentary shipping threshold. Return shipping costs will also be deducted from the refund.
For any return request with a returned merchandise value exceeding $1,000, a 7% restocking fee will apply to the refund amount, in addition to all shipping-related deductions. This helps us continue supporting our small-batch artisans and maintain the integrity of our carefully curated inventory.
ARJ is not responsible for lost or stolen packages once marked as delivered. Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. Orders returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address will incur carrier return costs, and the customer will be responsible for both outbound and return shipping costs.
Refused deliveries will be treated as returns and are subject to applicable shipping and restocking charges.
Final Sale Items
The following items are non-returnable and non-exchangeable under all circumstances, whether purchased in-store, online, or through a registry:
- One-of-a-kind items
- Custom or personalized items
- Special orders
- Items marked “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable”
- Gift cards
- Items damaged through normal wear
- All international orders
One-of-a-Kind Items
Due to their unique and irreplaceable nature, one-of-a-kind items are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange, whether purchased in-store, online, or through a registry. All sales are considered final once completed.
Wedding Registry Purchases
Items purchased from an ARJ wedding registry may be exchanged or returned for store credit within 14 calendar days of delivery or pickup, with proof of purchase or registry confirmation.
Refunds for registry purchases are issued as store credit only. Refunds are not issued to the gift recipient’s original form of payment. If the original gift purchaser initiates the return, the refund may be issued to the original form of payment, provided the return meets ARJ’s standard return policy requirements.
All registry returns and exchanges must meet ARJ’s standard condition requirements. Items must be unused, undamaged, and returned with all original packaging, inserts, and components. Sets must be returned complete.
One-of-a-kind items, custom or personalized items, special orders, final sale items, gift cards, international orders, and items marked “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable” are not eligible for return or exchange, even if purchased through a registry.
Shipping fees, return shipping costs, and any applicable restocking fees may be deducted from the store credit or refund amount when applicable.
