About Moist Collection
The Moist Collection reinterprets traditional Nabeshima celadon porcelain through Hataman Touen's distinctive surface treatment. Using a sandblasted finish, the collection achieves a soft, matte texture and gentle light-green tones that create a serene, tactile quality.
Each piece is finished with a rare celadon glaze made from high-quality ore sourced from Mt. Okawachi, the mountain surrounding the historic kiln village, using a closely guarded formula passed down through generations. The glaze produces subtle variations in color, deepening where it pools and lightening where it thins, highlighting the techniques of Nabeshima craftsmanship in a contemporary form.
