ABOUT YOSUKE ONO (小野陽介)
Yosuke Ono, born in 1987 in Mashiko, Tochigi Prefecture, grew up in a family of potters, developing a strong connection to the local clay. His work showcases simple, elegant forms that highlight the unique glazes and textures of Mashiko’s earth.
After graduating from Aichi Prefectural Seto Ceramic High School in 2014, Ono returned to Mashiko to pursue his craft. His ceramics, each with subtle variations, reflect his dedication to the natural beauty of the material.
Ono has participated in notable craft fairs like the Matsumoto Craft Fair and Akari no Tsudoi, gaining recognition for his craftsmanship. In 2021, he moved to Ibaraki Prefecture to establish his kiln, continuing to create ceramics that blend tradition with modern sensibility.
