The Kohiki-Silver Rectangle Porcelain Plate by Riso Porcelain beautifully blends traditional craftsmanship with modern elegance. The plate features the signature Kohiki glaze, with a soft, creamy white finish and a subtly textured surface that reflects the charm of Kohiki pottery. What distinguishes this plate is the delicate silver detailing along the edges, which provides a refined contrast to the earthy, rustic glaze.
Its rectangular shape offers a contemporary take on classic tableware, making it suitable for both casual and formal dining. The plate's understated yet luxurious design allows it to elevate the presentation of any dish, from appetizers to mains and desserts.

ABOUT Riso Porcelain(李荘窯)
In the late Meiji era, ceramic artist Shinichi Terauchi, the great-grandfather of current Risoan Kiln president Shinji Terauchi, was invited to the Arita region to serve as a mentor at a crafts school. The kiln's name originates from its establishment at the residence of Lee San-pyeong, the founder of Arita ware.
Arita is renowned as one of Japan's leading ceramic centers, and Risoan Kiln is situated on what was once known as "Tokkuri Street," a hub for workshops producing sake bottles, cups, and chopstick rests.
In the wake of Japan's economic growth and bubble era, Shinji Terauchi has devoted himself to creating timeless pottery. Guided by the belief that "beautiful things are eternal," he actively pursues designs that transcend fleeting trends.
