Working from his studio in Nakagawa, Tochigi Prefecture, Onozawa shapes vessels and sculptural works that embrace distortion, traces, cracks, and subtle imperfections—expressions of vitality captured in clay.

His use of traditional Japanese materials and methods, influenced by Momoyama-period and Korean ceramics, is balanced with a modern minimalism that feels timeless yet experimental. Each object reflects both chance and intention: surfaces marked by the earth’s raw character, forms refined by hand and fire.
