Cedar Bark Dinnerware Light Brown
$15.00 - $85.00
The Cedar Bark collection is part of ARAS's ongoing investigation into what tableware can be made from. Manufactured in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, each piece is formed from a proprietary blend of resin and glass fiber, into which reclaimed cedar bark is incorporated as both material and texture. The result is a surface that reads warm and organic while retaining the precision and durability that define all ARAS products.
Lightweight and resistant to breaking even after repeated drops, the collection is designed for daily use without compromise. The cedar bark gives each piece a subtle variation in tone and grain, so no two are identical, though the forms themselves are consistent and considered. It is a practical object with a quiet material story behind it.

About ARAS
Manufactured in Ishikawa Prefecture, central Japan, ARAS tableware is made from a proprietary material combining Tritan resin and glass fiber, achieving a balance of strength and lightness not possible with traditional ceramics or glass. Some collections incorporate reclaimed materials such as cedar bark or sea-derived minerals, reflecting an ongoing exploration of resin as a sustainable medium.
The material is durable, non-toxic, and designed to resist breaking even after repeated drops. Though produced with precision machinery, subtle surface variations give each piece a quiet, handcrafted character. At its core, ARAS approaches tableware from the ground up, reconsidering material, technique, and form in support of long-term use and a circular lifecycle.
