Description
Il Frate Saffron Porcelain Incense Burner – LCDC Collection by Luca Nichetto for Ginori 1735
Elegant and symbolic, the Il Frate (The Friar) incense burner in saffron-toned porcelain is a sculptural tribute to generosity and inner wisdom. Crafted by Ginori 1735 as part of the LCDC Collection, this refined piece features the face of a mustached figure resting on a saucer, detailed with a dragonfly motif—a symbol of transformation and grace. Contrasting tones of amber and black add visual depth and contemporary flair.
Designed to pair with Amber Lagoon incense sticks (sold separately), this incense burner brings fresh, aromatic notes into your space. The fragrance blends citrusy grapefruit blossom with sweet fig leaves, lavender, and vetiver—evoking the tranquility of lush gardens and timeless Venetian reflections. It’s the scent of a walk through a forgotten moment in time.
Part of La Compagnia di Caterina, a collection by designer Luca Nichetto, this piece merges classical porcelain artistry with modern design influences. Each sculptural figure is paired with a signature scent, offering an immersive fragrance and decor experience for any interior.

About Ginori 1735
Founded in 1735 by Marquis Carlo Ginori near Florence, Ginori 1735 is one of Europe’s oldest porcelain makers and a symbol of Italian artistry. For nearly three centuries, it has blended meticulous craftsmanship with bold design, creating fine porcelain that bridges heritage and modernity.
Signature collections include Oriente Italiano, where Eastern-inspired motifs meet vibrant Italian colors; Catene, Gio Ponti’s modern take on a classic chain-link pattern; Labirinto, with striking geometric borders; and Il Viaggio di Nettuno, a whimsical marine-themed series by Luke Edward Hall.
Handcrafted in its historic Manifattura in Sesto Fiorentino, Ginori 1735 continues to bring art, beauty, and elegance to the everyday table.
