Soil Baker, meaning “one who bakes clay,” is a tableware brand where ceramicists, designers, and chefs collaborate to explore the essence of the “vessel” through various perspectives. Their pieces capture the warmth of cooking and the pleasure of sharing a meal, crafted to endure and be cherished in daily life. Each item is meticulously shaped with reverence for clay as a natural element, embodying the artisanal spirit of Yeoju, Korea's historic heart of ceramics.

The founder, Hye Rin, studied product design at Parsons and spent her off hours interning at the renowned Eleven Madison Park. She later trained at the Institute of Culinary Education. She named it Soil Baker to offer casual, expertly designed pieces for everyday use, distinct from the more formal options of the time.
