Taizo Ito began his glass studies in Otaru, Hokkaido, in 1994. In 2007, he designed a wine glass featured in a commercial for Mitsubishi UFJ Securities. After 15 years of training, he founded SUN GLASS STUDIO KYOTO in 2010 in his hometown of Kyoto, aiming to share the beauty of glass with a wider audience and create objects that enhance daily life. Since then, he has held solo exhibitions at department stores across Japan and participated in Paris Design Week. Ito remains committed to showcasing the unique charm of glass through his craft.
