NABESHIMA

Nabeshima Style

Nabeshima style represents a timeless aesthetic tradition preserved within Nabeshima ware since the Edo period. Pieces adorned solely with blue are categorized as dyed ware. The intricate lines are meticulously crafted, and the layered, subtle gradations exude a dignified charm. These traditional Nabeshima patterns, once offerings of tribute, capture the essence of ancient Japan's elegance while radiating opulence.

Nabeshima Celadon Porcelain

Nabeshima celadon, a rare glaze displaying a green hue, is crafted from a closely guarded formula utilizing premium celadon ore sourced from Mt. Okawachi. It stands as one of Nabeshima ware's enduring techniques, creating a broad gradation within vessels. This gradation results from the interplay between darker and lighter regions, imparting a unique contrast and a light green hue influenced by the base.
